The whole drawing thing happens to me all the time! I'm like "I am so horrible at drawing... I swear! I set out to draw this simple, get my point across subject and suddenly it looks like I've been in art school for ages. In art therapy they would ask me "what art school did you go to?" I just sit there staring at the piece for like hours because I'm so confused how I got the end result. It makes me feel good that I have some sort of talent. But then I realize I have a ton of talent I can't claim. I'll tell my friends "O I CAN'T play twister, I'll break my neck!" And then suddenly I'm like a pretzel, elasta woman.
