I wonder sometimes about that. I know my depression/anxiety goes back to at least the age of 14. However, there are little bits of things I remember from being younger that makes me think it went back much further than that, maybe even back to the age of 8 or 9. And truthfully my memory is bad enough that I really will never know for sure. I recently had a change in perception about my depression. I had thought for most of my adult life (I'm 42 now) that my depression was brought on by family situations and such (environment). Now I believe that most likely my depression was going to be there no matter what and that my family dynamics just kind of intensified the experience. So yeah, I guess I do think about that stuff. Thanks for posting this.
