Hi Texasclown, Ty for your reply.

My former psychiatrist told me once that I might not be able to work again, like you said, in a competitive workforce with renumeration. It has nothing to do with my intellectual capacities, he said, but a problem of recurring anxiety crisis (social phobia) which gives me allergies to the hands and the forehead.

I also tended to drink more alcohol after my work-day to calm me down-thinking too much on things that happened with collegues during the day, etc.

In any cases, since I was never "very rich", I'm used to not own much.

When I quit my PhD in 2000 and put on a 1 year rest by the Doctor, I had to sold most of my goods just to pay the bills : car, guitars, antique furniture, books, comics, coins and stamps collections.

That period was the thoughest. At that time, I thought I would not come out of it alive.

But I did. But it took me some time to really accept my mental problems, and some days are better than others.

This Forum is of great help to me, the people are quite nice and they understand what I've been thru. I hope it will help you too.

Take care,

Starbuck

I wonder where it will go from here... But I'll try nonetheless.
