You can make a list of distractions so that it is easier to find something when you are in need. I'll start it out for you:

Music - listening to it or playing or singing your own
Dancing (goes along with the music - I put on something upbeat with a positive message and dance to it, even though it isn't really dance music)
Call somebody. A friend, parent, crisis line, ..... I know some of them have been feeding you negative messages though, so think of someone who will be supportive. Try to meet new people and make some new friends when you are doing better.
Get lost in a book (one of my favorites)
Of course writing about it here or in a journal is also an option
What else can you think of?[/list]
You are a good person. I know from experience how hard that is to believe, but it's true. You are so talented and intelligent. Make a list of your good qualities too that you can keep and look at when you need to when people tell you otherwise or you forget.
