It does stink, their being rejected, but it does make sense in a way. A parent with bipolar can cause a lot of stress in a kid, well, a parent with any MI. An episode on the parent's part will cause anxiety (admitted by the child or not) for the kids. It's a natural response to worry or get mad. And this would show up on the child's part in the study.
