I have no clue but just wanted to say that I've had the same problem in the past...just not as bad.

I downloaded something onto mine and it killed my javascript program, my help files, my system restore, and my flash player. And when I go to some sites I can't access certain buttons. Like the download button for the flash player isn't available to me when I try to download it. It truly sucks. I can't use any of the buttons in my yahoo mail so I have to go to a different computer every so often and empty my emails and junk mail folders. I can't even access my hotmail account. A lot of the buttons on MySpace are javascript so I can't even use some of the things on there. It sucks.

Have you tried Ad-Aware? I got smart and downloaded it. It's highly recommended by many professionals and my ISP actually recommends it. The place I'm taking my computer to get fixed next week recommends it, too.
