Hi, everyone.. Thanks for your concern and prayers. They are needed right now. My dad went to the hospital where they only kept him overnight because of his stupid insurance.. grrr!! He has to be put in the hospital by his regular specialist in order for his insurance to pay for it. He sees him (the specialist) in the morning. I thought it was Friday, but it turns out he has to be there first thing in the morning. But, he was feeling faint because his blood sugar was so high. They tried to test his blood sugar on one of those little machines like he uses at home, and it was so high it wouldn't read it. But when they tested it another way we found out that it was a little over 700. And, like I said, his cholesterol is 900. He's not in good shape right now. My dad is young.. he turns 50 on the 21st of this month. I'm worried about him. The docs say it's just the diabetes that are tearing his organs down. He has Type 1... or juvenile diabetes. This just stinks.
