Wow... my diagnosis process was much different than that. I had my intake with the psychologist. then the big test I had to take home and fill out with around 500 questions or so. Then it was two more visits to go over everything in the test and the results. Then it was off to the Psychiatrist who did an hour and a half intake and also went over the test and asked even more questions. Then it was samples of mood stabalizer. Kept me on samples the first few months while adjusting the dosage. Then came the Abilify when my moods calmed down and I could see that I was having paranoia. Still on samples came the anxiety meds. Now I only am paying for the Lamictal and Zoloft until October, which is when our insurance kicks in.

I would leave a doc who just tried to give me drugs and not even listen to me, or not dig around and truly try to help.
