this list of drugs is straight from my nursing medscape app.

there is some anecdotal support for TD treatment for the following drugs or types of drugs:

vitamin E, levodopa (usually used for Parkinson's), benzodiazepines, botulinum toxin, resperine, tetrabenazine, and dopamine-depleting agents, and ondansetron.

any of those can be helpful. so it's a partial list and some ammo in your pocket when you talk to the doc about trying something else.

also the same app states that clozapine (Clozaril) can be a better alternative as an antipsychotic because of it's incredibly low risk of causing or exacerbating TD.

so talk to your doc. if the benztropine is really causing the intrusive thoughts, then it's probably best to talk to the doc about going off the drug and trying something else to control the TD symptoms. just talk to your doc first before dropping drugs off your regimen.

hope this helps.
