I would find one trusted medical site and do what it says: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0002067/

There are special braces/boots, but they are expensive: http://www.braceshop.com/productcart...FUXc4AodeU4AGg Ask your doctor about prescribing one (so your insurance will pay)?

But he may just be being careful, telling you all that "could" happen. I was very very close to having my tendon rupture but the doctor was clueless (told me I was getting old and it was normal to have aches and pains like that) but mine has never ruptured. Trust your body? If you overused/stressed your tendon, probably not doing that anymore will be enough.

I would work with your doctor and/or ask him if you should see a specialist, etc. rather than try to treat something of this nature on your own from off the internet and other people's experiences since there's no way to judge degree or cause, etc. to be like theirs?
Thanks Perna. I will check out those sites. I will, also, ask my doc if there is anything he can give me to help.
