There are huge differences between the diagnosis, but overlap in some of the symptoms. Bipolar is primarily a mood and energy disorder; borderline focuses on a fear of abandoment with chaotic relationships and black and white thinking (I love you, I hate you) (additional symptom is quickly vacillating mood states), PTSD's main symptoms are intrusive memories, avoidance and numbing, and hyperarousal.
If you look at the main overall symptoms you can see the differences.
