I cannot find this video on YT now. It is a recent video with Kay Jamison in which she gives advice on dealing with the disorder. She mentions among other things that bipolar patients tend to surround themselves with malevolent people. This was so true of me, I cannot tell you.

I am consciously trying now to reverse the trend. I connect with benevolent people. Most of them know my diagnosis, but not all. I plan to stay close with positive people who wish me well.
