Hope you figure it out. I spend too much time wondering "what went wrong" too. Sometimes I think it's a waste of time. Sometimes ... idk. My son was such a happy, loving little boy. What happened?
Going into psychosis from a very slight stress seems to be typical. So many people then spend their lives trying to avoid all stress. Not possible. I think one should slowly build up stress tolerance. Like working out in the gym for muscles. Practice working with tiny stresses until you get stronger.
I've been listening to Daniel Goldman's Social Intelligence. He talks about how some babies are born with a greater startle reflex and get stressed by new things. These babies tend to become shy children. BUT ... if the parent pushes the naturally shy child to go outside his or her comfort zone, he or she will become bolder. The children whose parents shielded them remained timid.
The same technique is used with phobias - gradually increasing exposure to the feared object or situation.
I don't see why the same can't be done for people who stress easily.
