You should tell T about the exciting news.. I don't think she will ask you pay more. It's just a few grand. She and you know the money won't last forever. Say hypothetically You decide to catch up bills, pay off a credit card or 2.. And go out for a nice dinner and you'll be back where you started. A few grand helps, it doesn't go till the end of time. T will know that.
