I have really missed everyone. I knew I would be lonely and have really been fighting depression. After I go to work, I'll be better.

My phone was turned on and after much searching, there is no phone jack in the house. I guess it was covered up, or removed, during the remodel. So, I found a yellow rotary phone in the remodeling stuff and ran the cord out a window to the outside phone box. I can at least receive and make phone calls. Computer won't be on until there are inside phone jacks. I am at the library now.

It is very hot here. No surprise. Humidity is much higher than what I'm used to. I have cleaned up the construction trash, worked in the backyard and unpacked a lot of stuff.

Went to dinner at a neighbor's house and got food poisoning. Found later that his barbeque grill wasn't cleaned. The neighbor's son, to the right of me, also got very sick. Won't be eating dinner at the other house any time soon.

The neighbors to the right are really nice. It is a blended family. All ages of children. The dad asked me if I knew anything about chickens and since I do.....we're building a chicken yard. The chicken house is already there and is really nice. We got it about half finished yesterday. Anything that I can find to do is welcome. Working hard during the day, helps the nights. No t.v., but you can check out THIRTY books at one time here....so, I am reading a lot.

I have one trip back to Oklahoma to finish up the move. My fridge, my table saw, the enlarger and lawn furniture.

The drive down here was pure torture. Mikee yowled all the way to Mineral Wells. I couldn't drive above 60 or the trailer would start weaving. Robert followed me. I have never been so glad to stop that truck when we arrived. I just fell out....

Timmee got out night before last and didn't come home yesterday til night time. I looked and looked and looked for him. When he ambled up to the door, I wanted to kill him and kiss him. Neither would have mattered to him, he was starving. I think he felt as though he was quite the man around the creek. Thank God there are no busy streets nearby. I'm sure he prowled and could hear me calling him.

There are numerous birds, lizards and toads here that I have never seen. The backyard is little a little ecosystem all it's own.

When I get back from Oklahoma, I have to re-interview at the psych hospital as my application has timed out. There are also substance abuse counselor jobs in a nearby town that I'm going to check out.

I really miss everyone. I am trying to stay as busy as possible, so I don't get down.

I've been into Austin twice. Only got lost once, but found my way to daughter's house by using the compass.

I have $21 in my checking account. That is an eery feeling. I can't stand not working but can't do anything til I am settled. Hopefully, the retirement check comes next week. I don't know the schedule yet.

Since I'm at the library and we just got a short amount of time on here and I have to finish this.
