welcome to pc.  after reading your sincere post a couple of thoughts-when conversing with someone that responds with LOGIC you can say, gee, i never thought about that in that way. we can all learn from others and vice-versa.
do you feel hostile when you confront someone? we all have our opinions on things. their point is theirs. yours is yours. nothing is black and white. i'd suggest you try to find a middle of the road approach. we are heard more often, imo, when we keep an open mind. and respecting our differences neutralizes the conversation.
