#1 No more hangovers. I used to tell people who didn’t drink that I felt sorry for them. Because when they wake up in the morning, that is as good as they are going to feel all day.

#2 No more blue lights in my rear view mirror. No more trips to the gray bar motel, and no more being left cuffed in the back seat of the cruiser while the cops went for coffee.

#3 And my favorite. I would never have found a God of my understanding without my alcoholism, and the desperation it created. Thank God for AA, and thank AA for God.
