July 29th, 1993 was my first sober day. Wow, what a journey. And I was so fortunate to belong to one of the greatest groups! They took me under their 'wing' -- as I was about the only female in the group -- and they kept me so darn busy that I didn't have TIME to drink. I was taken on 12 step calls, taken to Juvenile homes to take the message of AA in to the young people, made to help run the meetings inside women's prisons for 4 years, made to speak at out of town meetings, MADE to go to over 90 meetings in 90 days -- WHEW.  They made sure I had a good start.
If it wasn't for AA and the grace of God and all of YOU, I wouldn't be here saying I had 19 years sober. God bless & THANK YOU. Hugs, Lee
