Thanks Roadie,
But there's been some confusion - I'm not going anywhere, at least not for the forseeable future. I've done rehab and psychward stay's and St. Clare's is neither. It's a subsidized sober living facility run by the St. Vincent de Paul Society and is for women with a history of mental health and substance abuse problems. It's considered transitional housing, but I can stay here for up to 2 years. I'm planning on being here at least until I'm done school next spring.
I know I did post that I was nervous about moving into St. Clare's as it was a big adjustment to go from living alone for 20+ years to sharing a residence with 29 other women, especially since I had to share a room when I first moved in. But I got my own room at the beginning of July, and it's really nice, it even had room for me to bring an armchair from my apartment and will have room for one of my harps, once I get it organized.
I feel really lucky to have gotten into the residence, my rehab put in the referal for me back in Dec., as it's clean, it's subsidized so the rent is cheap, and you have to be sober to live here, so that'll help me stay sober, which is what I need to build up some sober time. And it's close to the school that I'll be going to in the fall.
So really it's a chance for a clean slate start.
But I'll still be around PC lots.
