I am. I hope he does learn to doubt and accept.
I've tried to engage him in some broader discussion via PM, though I doubt he's amenable. I think he would make a good psychiatrist -- obviously a smart 16-year-old -- if he ever does learn to be open to new ideas. Just needs temper the passion a bit (or a lot)!
