You're right, the fires in previous dreams (forgot that I've had one or two before the two I've had in mind, but those were a long time ago) were not this severe. The first one or two dreams, all I can remember is running around the house, going to different doors that lead outside and finding a brushfire right outside that door or a little further away on the ground or a tree, I think ranging from one to three feet in height, and when I'd try to tell someone about it, they wouldn't do anything. Everyone just went on with their business as though nothing was happening.
The recent dream before this new one, I was on a bus, going.....somewhere, no idea where, and there was fire all over the place, but it was not quite a foot in height anywhere. It lined the dried out grass fields along the road and between fields (did not fill in the areas, just the borders), and completely covered the roof of the junior high school I went to, maybe more of the structure, but I can't remember. I remember staring at the building feeling freaked out and asking myself where my little sister was going to go to school if this school isn't saved. I think I remember trying to tell someone on the bus about the fire or asking what was going on, but wasn't acknowledged. Heck, I might have tried to call someone on my phone, but it didn't work. I think this was close to sunset and the air was smokey, as though this were a real forest fire. The last thing I think I remember before waking up was a person (male, I think?) standing in the middle of the road, facing us, and the bus couldn't complete a right turn through an intersection.
Then comes this new dream. The first one/two were a long time ago, almost forgot I'd had them, the next was sometime in the last year I think, so there's a good amount of time between them, but getting closer each time. You think they're connected?
Note - I live in the woods, so forest fires are things we always have to be aware of and prepared for every summer.
