I found something some of you might be interested in. This was a study done in the UK though, but I'm sure it's available elsewhere.
You'd probably have to pay a high price for it to be done, because it's plastic surgery.

It's clean sponge material, cut to the size of the wound, put on the wound and sealed down with this plastic sticky stuff. Then a little hole is cut, and then you attach a tube to it and suck out stuff basically, so the wound closes up properly, with minimum infection risk.
