Especially when Jack Nicholson's character is assessing him and in that song his eyes react to light but he does not see you... I would argue that it sounds a wee bit dissociative maybe not at the level of a DID
My fave song at times is I'm free I love the imagery in it and at times I feel this way on a good day.
Love behind blue eyes Silversand thats another one i identify with.

lol, yes Im sure you, me and everyone else in this world could "argue" "debate" what our favorite films and music means...
for I could argue here where I live and work, eyes physically reacting but no one mentally home isnt in the american diagnostics for DID, or even dissociation..here in NY that points to a medical problem such as brain tumor, brain amateurism, alzheimers, eye degeneration and other vision problems..the one mental disorder I know that does have the symptom of eyes reacting to light and dark but no one seems to be home mentally is catatonic state with psychotic disorders.
here where I live and work one of the reasons why diagnostic testing of those we suspect to be dissociative is done, is because there are physical changes that happens when a person dissociates, including the rate in which their eyes dilate and contract. here in NY its pretty common for dissociative s body reactions including eyes to be at a slower rate then they normally are. We dont go according to all dissociative's blink this many times or their eyes take this long to dialate/contract. we notice how each person normally is compared to when we they are dissociating.
Yea we all could have loads of fun "debating" and "Argueing" about all kinds of stuff in relation to mental disorders and movies/nusic..
as many members there are here, would be how many different views we could all come up with... good thing debating and arguing isnt allowed here huh it would never end with no winners and everyone losing, and everyone upset with each other..
so instead we all just accept that we are all different and movies/books/music means something different to each of us.
Im glad you/ we all have found some music and movies you can relate to.
