hang in there. I felt alone in it to many times but then I found out that I wasnt alone. one day during college sociology class we had a guest speaker from a rape crisis center that was opening a branch office in my town. I started seeing one of their counselors and soon I was meeting others like me in their support group. There are many rape crisis offices and support groups out there call your local hotline number. it should be in your phone book under community services, mental health, rape crisis, domestic violence. any one of those hotlines can get you in touch with an agency in your area that deals with sexual assault and its effects of flashbacks panic attacks and so on. Your local hospital ER will also know of the nearest rape crisis services because they see rape victims everyday and call those services when a rape victim comes in to the ER so that the victim does not have to go through the exam and prosecuting process, if they choose to prosecute.
Also people here give support because they want to and have experienced the problems not because someone seems to be making an ultimatum or demand by saying "If you have any support then give it" when asking for support. Thank you for having that please in there.
I understand it gets frustrating and painful having flashbacks but please try to remember we are for eachother and I personally don't take too kindly to someone demanding my support. I give it willingly because I have gone through what I post and reply to, not because someone says "then give it"
