When I post to a thread I don't usually pay attention to what others have said, but I usually pay attention to what the thread-starter first asked for or said.

Like if a person is looking for advice or support and someone takes it off topic then it becomes quite invalidating and rude to the person that started the thread and I hate it when people end up feeling awful when they don't get the due attention that they need.
