My husbands kids live in a different state than him, and even though he talks to them all the time, he wishes he could see them more often..so for his birthday I wrote him a letter saying that I was going to take him to see them! He was so excited!! He had really been missing them! He even got to plan it to where he brought his youngest back with him for a couple of weeks. My suggestion..be as creative as possible..they love it!
