family, gotta love 'em....... at least you both know..... can you just communicate when essential and otherwise ignore each other? Have a ritual, make it sorta a joke, but really real: like a vase with a "talking stick" that won must hold to access communication with the other. Respect + Humor + New Behaviors, who knows, maybe you can laugh yourrselves out of your rut. At least make it interesting.....
