((((Perna)))), thanks for posting this. Fantastic question. xx

((((Fins))))I understand and can relate. You are not alone, and you made perfect sense. No need to worry

When it relates to social media, online forums, etc, I find the block feature delightful. It is a real benefit when I am still struggling with certain issues that create stress.

I find through talk therapy, very patient colleagues ( who also fully acknowledge their imperfections in our wacky environment) and making connections (IRL as well as online) that are positive and supportive, insightful and honest, I am more able to be around negative or annoying people and situations (if i have to) that would have triggered me in the past. I seem to be coping much better now.

Also, by taking responsibility or my own life and focusing on making gains, I stay as far away as possible from people, places, locations, situations if I am not comfortable. And I do not apologize for it or feel the need for explanations. I just decline to subject myself to it.

I also am quite aware of personalities that agitate me, so I also shut them down. Those are usually the types that are from my past that are no longer allowed to be anywhere in my vicinity.

And again, I feel no need to make excuses or apologize. I know those are matters that I havent fully dealt with or come to terms with, so in order to not be scared or agitated or feel that my safety is threatened, I just keep them away from me.
