After the 2 months of back and forth and continual packing / getting rid of stuff, I'm finally feeling settled at St. Clare's.
I spent yesterday organizing my room, unpacking my suitcases, and putting my clothes and shoes away.
I also put out the art pieces I'd brought over from Elder St. I brought a gorgeous blue paper mache bowl that a friend made for me, a picture of my parents, my Matrushka doll that I bought in Russia, some small animal carvings and a music box that I bought in Switzerland. They help to remind me that I'll get back to travelling some day.
I also put down my Turkish area rug, that I bought in Turkey, and it really gives the room some colour.
My Celtic harp was delivered today, so now I have a harp to play on.
About all I have left to do is unload the final load from my car, which is my printer, my harp bench, my yoga mat, a carved wood frog that a friend gave me 20 years ago, and a carved wood bear that the same friend gave me about 6 years ago.
I still need to figure out where to put the harp, so that it's easily accessible to play, but not in the way of everything.
I'm glad I was able to bring things to make my room look nice, since I figure I'll be here until next May at the earliest.
