well my S/O and I split the difference on a glucometer (blood sugar tester)... and I have been testing my sugar here.. hopefully i will continue as time goes on.
It is a good thing for myself to be doing- As of right now it is not believed me to be diabetic but-- i think it is a good thing to check especially with my dizzy spells and head aches here lately (I think it is still stress but 2 weeks going on I need for myself to rule out a factor).
I have family history of diabetes (bad bad for my dad where for him it lead to 'helping' macular degeneration which he went blind and kidney failure for him (his alcoholism did not help his diabetes) and i hear that my mom's is getting bad too with medication being used to balanced to help her out) Both are Type 2. Both of them I used to go to the doctors with them and help them monitor their sugars.... any ways- enough of back ground on that but I am going to start testing my blood sugar levels and record them-- when I have a little extra money (which I seem to some how at times build up) I will see my general doctor and discuss perhaps a "routine check up" and take in my recordings for them to see as well.
My general doctor knows how I am I think-- meaning I am very through with things-- Almost every time i see her for a head or chest cold i bring in my sheet of 'what has been going on' and what I have been trying to clear it up on my own... I know with some doctors that is frowned upon, due to they see that as the patient doing their (the Doctor's) work-- but she does not seem to really mind it which is a good thing for me because I am me, and since I don't go in the offices claiming to know ever thing (I am not a doctor) just trying to help out and learning things from readings and all-- i think she distinguishes that. I even write on my sheets that I am not sure what else to do to help to get better with colds and that is why I am seeing her (lol).... SO I will do my blood sugar testing here-- I will keep my little record booklet going as best as I can so I can take it in when I can to get a check up.... *sigh* a check up - tis scary for me...
and I have babbled enough...

I also go fruit
