I agree with plumapplepear and trippin about the acupuncture as an alternative. I haven't tried it, but my gp practices acupuncture and offers it one day each week. I assume it is covered by insurance because she is in a regular practice that includes many doctors. I wouldn't imagine that they would allow this treatment if it wasn't endorsed by the management.
