A couple of months ago I was in the reference area complaining about the library director to a coworker. I said several times that the library was badly managed. There was only one patron in the area, so I figured I was safe. Ha! That one patron turned out to be the director's daughter. I was hoping she didn't hear or wouldn't tell him, but ... he's been really cool to me ever since.
Does that make you feel any better?

Hrm well, I disclosed something I was contractually bound not to disclose to the co-worker I hate, who is now using it to blackmail and harass me.

I can't even go to HR because I think they'd figure out what I'd done (for which I could lose my job) . . . The only saving grace is that everybody else in the office hates this co-worker too, so when he gets too hard on me they tell him to go shove a pitchfork up his arse.
