Hi,
Well I can't relate to menopause, because I am a male. Although I think your T is doing the right thing by having the physical aspects of post menopause checked out before diagnosing a Mood disorder.

I have Bi Polar, a mood disorder I think. There are many diffrent types of Bi polar, and options for medication. Mood stabalizers are not much different than medications like antidepressants, only there are different types of mood stabilizers depending on the sypmptoms a person is having. My Pdoc told me that they help keeping me on an even line of extreme ups and extreme downs. I don't understand the tecnical stuff of it all. Just that they help me.
