I just read your thread about all the summer noises....my farm has a creek running through it & the frogs are LOUD....not only that but in the middle of the night, you can hear the moles mating calls.....which are VERY LOUD.....& of course, during the day, the cicadas are continuous. Luckily, I hear them, while at the same time am able to tune them out......think your volumn control & tuner are broken. People who have extra sensitivity usually have a broken volumn control. I am however aware of all the noises you are talking about after moving to the country. I even had a tree frog earlier in the summer that ended up on my front porch roof right under my bedroom window.....sadly, I think a bird must have gotten to him to shut him up because I found my little frog dead on my front lawn the other day......I really was quite fond of him even if he had a loud mouth.
Country has some interesting sounds to have to deal with especially when sensitive to it. As summer ends, so do the noises, into the fall with russling leaves then winter with the snap crackle pop of the ice
