I did intensive outpatient a few years ago. I think its a great idea because it allows you to focus on your recovery while not being stuck in the hospital and worried about work, so you have the best of both worlds. It was scary taking all that time off of work, but if you think about it, your sanity is most important, otherwise you will not be able to work. But I was off for about a month to give my meds some time to kick in and receive therapy to be able to recover. And yes, I get to go home and sleep in my own bed, rather than being stuck in a hospital.
Mine pretty much was group therapy in the morning, then we were fed lunch, and I think another short session afterwards...
