I know how self harm can make you realize that you are human, you ARE real and not some invisible or insignificant blob going through "life."
What others have done to pull themselves out of self harm is to find a different behavior that makes them feel real. (You are real, you know, and worth trying to feel better!)
Something less damaging might be what you have to try first..and then work to something not damaging at all. You wouldn't mind, would you, as long as it had the same result: to make you feel ok about yourself?
Try and find some things that you "like" or would like to like that aren't harmful...and share with us here.... remembering that it takes at least 21 times of substitution to replace a bad/old habit
