Melatonin to help it along. Its natural (it's the same thing that your body makes to tell your brain that it's time to get ready for bed), and there are no side effects aside for drowsiness. Stagger the doses - don't take the same amount every time and don't take it the same days. This will keep your body from learning to compensate for the rise in tonin levels.
