I have the curly FRIZZY hair.....it started turning gray after my first knee surgery when I was in my late 30's.....then more grey with each surgery after. I hated short hair from the time I was in grade school when my mom first had my hair cut, so I swore at that time never to have short hair again.

Only problem.....I have had 2 times when my anorexia got really bad....once at the age of about 45 & the other 7 years ago. I don't remember the first time as much as this time, but my hair was like straw for years afterward.....It's just been about the last year where the conditioners have started to really work & my hair can really feel soft after blow drying it.....no more straw hair which when frizzy gets even worse feeling.

I wear it up basically all the time with clips & combs that have cloth across them to hold both sides together & baretts to hold it up...just for a change of pace...get boared with the same kind & look of clips all the time......but can't really figure out much else to do with it. It's only been lately that I brave it & leave it down once in awhile. KY is so much more humidity than California....so the frizz is much worse here which is why I wear it up all the time when I go out anywhere......crazy because I hate short hair, yet I wear it up...not much difference....but I guess mentally there is for me (go figure????)......always had redish brown hair....sides are grey, back is still redish brown with a lot of grey in it.
