The doctor said that this kind of cycling is most commonly caused by going unmedicated for too long. He also said that in some people the cycles shorten in duration and intensity as you age. I am 50 and haven't noticed any changes yet.

Funny your Dr should say that, my ultradian cycling started as soon as my meds kicked in, before that I had 4 - 7 day cycles... Buuut, I'm 1 of the weirdos, caffeine makes me sleepy, food makes me skinny so don't take too much notice of my opposite effects
