a standard appt for me includes a pap, which is not painful but the speculum is usually cold. then the dr puts his fingers inside you and presses inside and out to check for abnormalities. there is some discomfort here. then you should get a breast exam. sometimes the dr doesnt give one automatically, but i always ask for it.

the first time can be nerve wracking, but its not really that bad and is over pretty quick. ive gone to the gyno while spotting before, and she was ok with it. you should talk to your doctor about the spotting. its probably due to the meds, but he should be aware of it.
