Menopause may affect our emotional outlook I am told, but there is an awful lot of depression in women that is not menopausal. I am a case in point. I am not thre yet but not that far away. My hormones are all over the place and my depression ranges from mild some days to severe

It seems that to dismiss your difficulties as merely the change of life is rather inconsiderate and not understanding of the toll that depression takes in our lives. People who do not walk that road find it easy to advocate easy answers. It sounds a lot like all the unsolicited child rearing advice I got with my daughter from people who had never had children.

Thank goodness we do not have to rely on self appointed relatives and friends for medical advice. You get what you pay for.
