Well, your emotional difficulties that you've been fighting since age 12 certainly can't simply be attributed to hormonal changes. That's ridiculous!
Maybe you are pre-menopausal, which adds to emotional ups and downs of life that you're experiencing. I have experienced the physical/emotional changes a few times in my life: after I stopped nursing my daughters, and then again after a major surgery. My emotions were intensified. Depression increased shortly thereafter significantly.
I did, however, see my doctors when these major changes in my mood occurred. If your doctor has been seen recently and knows how you're feeling, and you're being treated medicinally as well as T, I would feel comfortable. If it has been a while, maybe you should give your T doc a call, to see if some changes are appropriate.
