I have tried to get information about this in the past with little luck, so I am going to try again. As a child, I had explosive rages when I got upset that landed me in special education and everything. They ended when I was a young teen, but I still feel like having them sometimes. Anyway, my mental health team is uninterested in finding the exact cause (I'm bipolar and they hinted they think that was my childhood problem) and says it's best I get CBT to help control it. But I want to know the cause. I am on antipsychotics and mood stabilizers and that is not controlling it, so I wonder what is the cause. I need to know where to start, do I go to a child psychologist maybe to review my past records?
I suspect I have ADHD because that was my childhood dx and now I don't pay attention to things well and I fidget like crazy, but they said it was the bipolar. I also have strong interests that resemble an autism spectrum disorder IMO, but they say my behavior is within the norm.
The other problem I have is that I wonder how rare this condition is. I never saw a support group, or anyone ever say they had or have explosive rages. I feel alone like crazy.

BTW, my sig, they now say I'm Rapid Cycling Bipolar with Psychosis, to give you a current idea of what they think I have.
