Bless your heart -- things aren't really that hopeless my friend. Your job certainly doesn't help things since you work nights. That makes it hard to have any kind of a social life. If there is ANY way to switch shifts with another fellow employee, give it a try. Ask around, and see if you can find someone who is willing.
I'm sure you're NOT a creep/loner. LOL It's just your work schedule is keeping you away from the "scene." It's hard to meet anyone when you're working the night shift. When you get off work, you're thinking of going to bed, while everyone else is just getting up and getting ready to go to work! Makes it hard to get to know anyone. Unless you can get on another schedule, I'd be looking for another job where you can get on the day shift like other people work so you can mix in with others at night!
