No, a few of you men don't have the words at the moment, but they're there when it's important. You have the visual art that just flows when the artist in you demands it.
And the words come, too, with the art; I see it very clearly when it happens and wish I had the gift of writers who are able to express feeling almost as if it were a visual thing: as in, "the sea is old, very old--it has been distilled by the sun and kneaded by the moon for (sic)millions of years..."
It doesn't happen often, however. The enjoyment of the gift is to be happy when
it does flow; when it doesn't, the dryness is just preparing the artist for another episode of expression.
If you wonder why you don't have the words at the moment, read Pearl Buck's description of the artist. What you do is demanded of you by your gift. If you don't do it,as Pearl Buck suggests, it's almost as if death were approaching. That's how strong the artist's creativity really is.
