in my mind, it is perfectly okay for us to discuss and disagree upon almost any topic that comes along. look how far we went with the Dateline thread. we all learned a lot from that thread. we learned more about the net and pedophiles.

however, i do think we need to draw the line at making fun of someone's response or just down right trying to draw them into an altercation. stating our opinions and our beliefs is healthy. i always learn something from reading about how a fellow poster feels about a "hot issue".

and more than anything else, i appreciate the fact that John lets us do this. i commend him for allowing the discussions to go as far as they do go and also for him coming in and commenting. and when he disagrees with how we're handling ourselves, it is in a gentle way. never a "i'm the decider" way. he's fair. even when he and i disagree, he's fair.
