I am sorry you are feeling low at the moment. I have been off work because of my illness for almost two years. The toughest thing about it, for me, has been having no schedule or routine. I have only recently been able to get myself into a bit of a routine and I am feeling much better. I go for walks every day at the same time, I go to the library, I take the dogs out, I attempt to help with supper! Getting into so sort of routine helps me to not feel so useless.
The other think that makes a big difference is exercise. It boosts the helpful brain chemicals. If you haven't been, start with a little and work your way up. This is probably the best remedy I have found.
