I worked with a really sweet and fun lady in her late 30's for a few months. She had a lot of energy and talked pretty fast, and periodically she would call people "baby-doll". Men and women, didn't matter. She was barely conscious of it. It didn't bother me at all - I didn't take it personally.
My T rarely addresses me by my name, let alone any terms of endearment. He has a lot of experience and he's very careful in his words and actions because he knows that even minor stuff can set off certain people. He likes to walk around the office during sessions because he has a medical condition where he shouldn't just sit for long periods of time. I remember the first time he did it, he said to me: "I'm going to get up now and walk around. Is that OK with you?" He's such a pro ....
