Hey man, you'll be OK. The subject line on this really grabbed my attention, I thought it was the beginning line of a deep and moving poem and it started my mind wandering back to all those times I used poetry as a release for my troubled and confused heart...
The revival you mentioned was something I could relate to also. I think for some of us it is greatly helpful to feel that what we've experienced has at least one benefit. It can be used to connect to others and be, even for short times, a helper instead of the helpless. That can begin a process of increased self-value which has the same rollercoaster effect as depression over time...
