Wow, that does sound pretty darn stressful!

I am sorry that you lost your job. Times certainly are tough. Does your wife make enough to keep you and your family afloat for a while? If so, comfort yourself with that fact. While it isn't easy or fun, it CAN be done.

You will eventually find a job that is a better fit for you, perhaps even better paying. Who knows?? Is your family supportive if you do run into really tough times and need a helping hand? I know that it isn't ever easy to go and ask for help. But, sometimes, it's exactly what we need to help us through to a greener time in our lives.

In my experience, now is NOT a good time to sell. Now is a great time to buy! Maybe you should sell for less than you paid, but buy well. Or, maybe your/her family can help meet payments for a little while, until you get another job? It's a personal and family decision, that you two need to make together. Hopefully, you'll gain support from your family to help you through these dark times.
